New construction
When building a new house, there are many aspects to consider and numerous decisions to be made. Therefore, it’s wise to schedule an initial consultation first. This meeting helps clarify your desires and vision, so they can be translated into a design and eventually detailed construction drawings. With a well-thought-out plan, you can prevent misunderstandings and ensure a smooth construction process.

Design process
Intake meeting: Together, we determine how the design process will unfold. Whether you prefer to be fully supported or would rather take part in selecting materials, both options are available. Therefore, we begin the process with a meeting to clearly outline your preferences. In addition to your level of involvement, we discuss desired style and budget among other factors.
Original drawings: After the initial consultation, in the case of a renovation, we refer to the original drawings. You may already have these; otherwise, they can often be requested from the municipal archives. If no drawings are available, I can survey your house and create the drawings. Next, I’ll verify which laws and regulations apply to your situation, such as any design guidelines.
Concept design: Afterward, the design process begins, translating your preferences into a preliminary design. To provide a clear depiction of the design, I create a 3D model along with color and material proposals. Together, we review the design to ensure it meets all your requirements.
What is the next step towards construction?
If you’re satisfied with the design and the municipality has no objections, you can proceed to the next step and have construction drawings made. This involves creating detailed drawings, including structural calculations. With these drawings, you can then apply for a building permit and start looking for a contractor.
